Australian Journeys
Australia's immensity is hard to grasp, with merely 23 million inhabitants living in a country 14 times the size of Texas or France.
I lived in Melbourne from 2010 to 2014. During this time, I travelled to all mainland Australian states and territories, as well as Christmas Island in the Indian Ocean. However, Australia being so immense, I can certainly not claim to have seen it all, experienced it all.
To me, the ultimate Australian experience is to be far away from civilisation, in the outback, watching the winter Milky Way at night. Sitting among the Pinnacles and listening to the sound of a distant didgeridoo, or at the base of Uluru.
"Australian Journeys" is a personal attempt to present some of the natural wonders of Australia.
