It's a tough life for the traditionally nomadic herders and eagle hunters of the Altai mountains in Mongolia. Wild, rugged, remote, and otherworldly - this is certainly prime horseback riding terrain. But while I thought people would be as tough and cold as the terrain is; once you break the ice, their warmth, cheekiness, and friendliness is unparalleled.
